The memories I have of my first day, at my first; adult, career, grown up, job were a little on the ‘hoppy side’… For you non-beer drinkers, that’s slightly bitter, sour, pickled, and pee shivery.
One of the most important primary tasks I felt I should complete on my first day, was to request June 2nd off… (2 short weeks after my start date)... because Bright Eyes, (rock band), was coming to town. After receiving the auto-e-mail narrative of my vacation request; its submission, its acknowledgement by my manager, and its subsequent approval, I remember experiencing a clear epiphany. I can vividly recall thinking, “I think I want to work for myself”.
However ironic it is that I don’t really gamble, that first bitter, pee shivered day in corporate Canada, I hit one of life’s big jackpots. I discovered my purpose. And, not to brag, but relatively early in life! I've been basking in the joy of pursuing it ever since (annoying moonwalk). Maybe not so ironically, my passion is to to help others find what they’re looking for in a career, and in life…. (annoying group moonwalk by everyone).
I help others. I’m a coach… I’m also an ally, a champion, a cheerleader, a sounding board, a fan, a challenger, an observer, a devil’s advocate and a Thundercat Warrior… (Too far… apologies). More importantly, I’m a person who can see potential in others. MOST importantly, I can help them to see it in themselves…..I know it may sound simple, but its ninja cool. That’s my purpose….what I’m meant to do….what excites me….what I’m best at, and what drew me to career coaching and an organization like Higher Landing that helps people find what I've been so fortunate to find. We share the same passion, and core values.
I know too many people existing, or looking for jobs (really looking/accepting lives…8 hours a day is the lion’s share or the day) that not only don’t fulfill them, but also frustrate and restrain them from a dream that they know in their hearts can be their reality.

Whoops, that might be too scary for some….also referred to as your; gut, intuition, and the sense of congruence that youfeel confident enough to adhere to in life.... (you’re welcome people who FEEL, emotions are gross, that last one was for you!).
Do your life the justice it deserves and land higher.
