What it is like to be a CAREER TRANFORMATION COACH?

Several months ago, I was referred to Higher Landing by a long time connection.  When I read the website, it truly resonated with me because of the way in which Higher Landing focuses on career transformation rather than traditional career transition, fit in addition to function, and the who – the person - in addition to the what – the person’s skills and abilities.

Since working with Higher Landing, I have experienced a forward thinking company providing the foundation from which people can thrive and grow their careers.  Clients take charge of learning more about who they are, what they truly want, what their value is, what they have to offer, and source a more fulfilling career.

As a Career Transformation Coach at Higher Landing, I have the privilege of working with people to empower them on this journey.  I work with individuals who are in career and know there is something more for themselves and, also, people who have taken a package or been laid off who are looking to find a new way.  They potentially change course and take a new direction integrating their skills and bringing more of who they are to their careers and to the organizations with whom they will work in the future. 

Through coaching they gain greater awareness from which to make more informed choices.

In one to one coaching, I have found that, quite often, people overlook their strengths that have become second nature to them.  They can be caught up in the traditional way of looking at career – ie, that their value is solely based in their tangible skill sets and in a specific industry rather than looking at who they are, what their full value proposition is, and how what they have to offer benefits organizations.   Through coaching they gain greater awareness from which to make more informed choices.

When they attend workshops, they realize they are not alone.  They also have the opportunity gain clarity about what their uniqueness is in relation to others.  Networking is another benefit.
