Marketing Strategist | Writer | Storyteller
Ryan is a journalist, screenwriter, copywriter, marketing strategist and a few other things that involve a lot of typing late at night and a lot of coffee early in the morning. He has written copy and video material for a batch of major international brands including Virgin, AT&T, Nissan, HTC and KPMG.
Ryan consults on marketing and creative strategy for innovative organizations in North America and Europe. He helps develop his clients’ personal and corporate brands through an approach that draws from classic storytelling techniques, honors the core elements of human nature, and incorporates cutting edge and original thinking in marketing and branding.
Ryan has been published in daily papers on three continents including work in Canada, the U.K., and Australia. He spent a number of years covering the NBA for ESPN.com and its affiliate websites, and appeared on a variety of radio shows and podcasts. As a screenwriter he has sold television and film projects with Ripple’s Effect, a feature comedy, going in front of the camera in 2017, with co-writer Jeremy LaLonde set to direct. Ryan also has an original serialized podcast in development, launching in Q4-2016.
Ryan is a serial traveler who has lived all around the globe including stints in Edinburgh, Scotland, Melbourne, Australia, and Toronto, Ontario. As a result, he tends to travel light.
