Entrepreneur | Career Transformation Strategist | Catalyst

Jackie is a natural catalyst, entrepreneur and business builder with two decades of experience in the professional services industry, and a knack for “making things happen”.  Having worked in five countries, she built two successful executive search firms, founded Canada’s first publicly traded company with an all-female Board of Directors, Roxi Capital (now trading as Plastifab Corp. - PFB.TSX) and was a founder of Anorak Capital (now trading as Total Energy Services TOT.TSX).  

Landing a great opportunity is more art, than science. It requires a commitment to intimately knowing and believing in yourself. It is having a clear vision, strategy and courage to share “you” with the world.

Jackie’s penchant for reinvention and heart-based leadership skills led to the creation of Higher Landing and the formation of “career transformation” which sets a new standard for helping people “land higher” in their career.  She has achieved results by casting aside tradition-bound thinking, enabling people to tap in to their potential while guiding them to reinvent, brand and package themselves to secure the best possible opportunities.

Jackie holds dual degrees from the University of Calgary with an MBA and Bachelor of Education (French) and is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.  She is a champion of helping people live healthy and authentic lives and enjoys travel and running long distance.

Paul is a transformational leader whose purpose is to support Higher Landing’s exponential growth. He has a proven track record of turning around underperforming businesses and teams.  With nearly two decades of experience in progressively increasing responsibility in finance and administration roles in professional services and oil and gas, he has been involved in successful startups and turnarounds of the Canadian divisions of large multi-national oil and gas companies.  Paul has expertise in leading multi-disciplinary teams to achieve extraordinary results based on his ability to achieve alignment through organizational health.

Paul brings his heart-based leadership skills which are grounded in the values of family, courage and impact to Higher Landing where he plays a significant role in shaping the organization’s culture.  Throughout his career, he has helped countless individuals chase their career dreams and fulfill their aspirations.

Paul holds a bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.   He began his career at KPMG and upon successfully completing his CA designation moved in to the upstream oil and gas sector with companies including Burlington Resources Canada and Murphy Oil. He was also a founding member of a junior oil and gas company which was subsequently sold to PetroBank Energy and Resources.   His commitment to excellence in home, work and community keep him busy balancing an active family life and as a volunteer.  He is proud to be a partner, director and shareholder of Higher Landing Inc. 


Easton received a B.Sc.(Hons) in Geology and a Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. His professional experience includes positions with Ray Geophysical Company in Libya, the United Nations in Uganda, Amoco Canada and PanCanadian Petroleum in Calgary.  He founded Petrel Consultants, has been an Independent Consultant, a former Director of BowLeven PLC., and is recently retired as Exploration Vice President and still a Director of Americas Petrogas Inc., a Calgary company with oil and gas operations in Argentina and a large potash/phosphate project in Peru. He is also on the board of International SoftRock oil Company with assets in Arizona and Cameroon.  Through Easton’s continued involvement and contribution to the Grizzly Den, he developed a passion for Higher Landing and recently became a Director and Shareholder of the Company.

Dr. Wren has lectured at U.S. and Canadian universities and has presented industry-oriented courses in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, S.E. Asia and Australasia.  He was President of the Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (CSEG) and received Honorary Membership.  He is the author of several published papers on seismic processing and interpretation and is a past editor of the Journal of the C.S.E.G.

In 1987 he was the Distinguished Lecturer for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists(AAPG) and is an active member of S.E.G., C.S.E.G., and A.P.E.G.G.A.  He was the producer and host of CFAC-TV Calgary's "Science Spectrum" documentary programme.

Brian Hallamore, B.A. Psychology (Hons), MBA - Consulting Executive

Brian is providing consulting support to Higher Landing based on his over 38 years of experience in all aspects of human resources, working in Canada and internationally with Imperial Oil Limited.  Having spent a significant number of years in a senior executive capacity, Brian has both led significant organization change efforts including, but not limited to, staff reductions, and has provided coaching and counselling to employees and executives at all organization levels.

Brian is currently a Director and Vice-Chair of the Gastrointestinal Society, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Westside Regional Recreation Society, both of which are in the not-for-profit sector.

In addition to his board involvements, Brian has extensive experience in the areas of leadership, strategic planning, organization change, executive compensation and development, and various HR functional areas including: recruitment, appraisal, workplace policy, training, compensation and benefits.  He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and has completed the ICD Not-For-Profit Governance Essentials program.
