JACKIE RAFTER, MBA - founder, President & ceo

Jackie is a natural catalyst, entrepreneur and business builder with two decades of experience in the professional services industry, and a knack for “making things happen”. Having worked in five countries, she built two successful executive search firms, founded Canada’s first publicly traded company with an all-female Board of Directors, Roxi Capital (now trading as Plastifab Corp. - PFB.TSX) and was a founder of Anorak Capital (now trading as Total Energy Services TOT.TSX).
Jackie’s penchant for reinvention and heart-based leadership skills led to the creation of Higher Landing and the formation of “career transformation” which sets a new standard for helping people “land higher” in their career. She has achieved results by casting aside tradition-bound thinking, enabling people to tap in to their potential while guiding them to reinvent, brand and package themselves to secure the best possible opportunities.
Jackie holds dual degrees from the University of Calgary with an MBA and Bachelor of Education (French) and is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. She is a champion of helping people live healthy and authentic lives and enjoys travel and running long distance.
Callie b. Elwayns - DIRECTOR
Callie is a transformational executive leader with a career marked by over a decade of success delivering strong revenues, generating growth, and building organizational value. Until February 2018, Callie was the Executive Director for the Calgary Regional Partnership for almost 9 years where she led the development of the organization’s unique governance model, as well as flagship initiatives including the Calgary Metropolitan Plan (CMP) and the Calgary Regional Transit Plan (CRTP).
She is regarded as a consensus builder and spokesperson with a reputation for developing strategic partnerships, engaging stakeholders, and leading change around a shared purpose. She has successfully navigated the civic, provincial, and federal landscape to address economic challenges faced by business in Calgary.
Callie is also a Director on the Board for the Bow River Basin Council and the Van Horne Institute and a founder of 'Collaborate to Compete', an emerging Network of Metropolitan Regions. She is a progressive organizational leader, community catalyst and change agent with a passion for creating space for people to come together, in the flow of creative possibility, for a collective higher purpose. She focuses on co-creating new social and institutional approaches toward a more sustainable future and is a skilled partnership and coalition builder, generating impact and reach. She is also a professional speaker and has shared the public platform with several business, political and philanthropic leaders across Canada. She is 100% committed to raising awareness and leveraging public influence to ensure Calgary continues to be a leading world class city.
Jacquie Stephens, MBA, RCC, PCC - DIRECTOR
The power of coaching and teamwork was presented to Jacquie early on in life through school and community sports (fastball and basketball). That landed her a full athletic scholarship at the University of Central Oklahoma. There she completed her marketing undergrad (BBA) and was awarded Academic All American, a prestigious national recognition for excellence in athletics and academics. Since then, coaching has weaved through every aspect of her professional and personal development.
When she got her first big leadership role as the General Manager of an explosion proof heating company, her Dad, a Supply Chain Management Executive, recommended (strongly) that she use his business coach. Experiencing first-hand the massive impact of having a coach, and being a coach in sporting and working realms, she founded her own consulting firm in 2005. In her practice, she aligns industry knowledge and leadership experience with brain based coaching and trending teachings of neuroscience on behaviours and habit formation.
Certified in Myers Briggs and neuro-coaching, she shares the tools to measurably improve the performance, communication, relationships and leadership skills of her clients. The combination of her background in high performance teams, her MBA in Strategic Planning and Organizational Effectiveness, and being trained as one of North America's lead instructors for SAP's HR academy, offers diverse vantage points on team dynamics and leadership development.
